Surdry is a medium sized company, based near Bilbao northern Spain, which was established in 1981 and which concentrates exclusively on the design, manufacture and servicing of Retorts for food preservation, utilising heat sterilization after packaging

The company’s biggest success was achieved in 1983 when it patented a unique steam water spray mix system for the sterilization of products under pressure. The system has been widely used and imitated throughout the world since it’s original introduction because of the very efficient heat penetration that the system achieves with minimal energy usage and low operational costs.

Surdry has grown rapidly since 1981 and has extended its operation to 25 countries world-wide, giving sales and service in Europe, America and Asia.

The main products produced by the company are static retorts, end-over-end rotary Retorts, laboratory units and associated cage loading and unloading equipment. Surdry have remained extremely competitive, primarily because they have standardized on their equipment range and manufacture only from highest quality stainless steel.

The company is currently undergoing an extensive development programme, with new innovations to be introduced in the near future.
