A Brief History

Planet Flowline was established in 1987 when a small group of Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Engineers joined a general Engineering Fabrication Company, Planet Fabrications Limited in Northampton, England, with the intention of developing new machines and ideas for Food Manufacturers.

It was not long before the demand for Planet’s products and services outstripped the ability of the factory to produce all that was required and it was decided to widen the range of products and services by setting up exclusive distributive agreements with specialist Food Processing Machinery Engineers abroad, whilst at the same time forming a new Company, Planet Flowline Limited, to concentrate on Food Processing and Packaging Machinery.

This action increased the Company’s range of Food Processing Machinery that the Company had to offer and enabled Planet Flowline to present a more balanced and broader portfolio of equipment to the Food Processing and Packaging Industry.

In 1989 Planet Flowline relocated to new offices in Lincolnshire, a traditional Food Processing area, where there were more Food Packaging Machinery Engineers with the required skills available enabling the Company to develop its Spares, Sales and After Sales support activities.

Since 1989 we have expanded our activities in both Food Processing Machinery and Food Packaging Machinery with the addition of more selective distributorships with specialist Engineering Companies mainly in Europe.

In 2008 the Company moved its base again to its current location in Lincolnshire, to offices better suited to today's communication needs.

Today we specialise in the design, supply, installation, commissioning and after sales technical support, not only of individual machines but of complete turnkey Food Processing and Food Packaging installations, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Apart from representing overseas specialist Food Packaging Machinery Engineers we build a range of machinery in the UK which complements our in-depth knowledge of the Canning, Freezing, Preserves, Pickles, Drinks, Snack Food and PET Bottle Manufacturing Industries.

Over the last 21 years we have remained financially very stable and have installed machinery in nearly every major Food Manufacturer in the UK, including all the Blue Chip Companies.

In recent years we have exported Food Processing Machinery to locations all over the World..

We are located in Bourne, to the north of Peterborough, which has excellent road and rail links from all parts of the British Isles.
